ASU Video & Tele Conferencing Resources

There are several options available for collaboration using technology at ASU.
Features and applications range from simple telephone conferencing readily quick and available anyone with a phone, to a full range of sophisticated video and computer desktop sharing tools to meet the most demanding collaboration needs.


Telephone Conferencing

Antique TelephoneThere are a variety of conference calling options available at ASU.  Some require particular types of phones (i.e., Cisco IP phones) and others utilize our central services.  Each offers particular benefits and capabilities.

Desktop Video Conferencing

Vidyo logoASU offers a very powerful desktop video conferencing system called Vidyo. This system provides full motion video collaboration in high definition quality and can be accessed via most any computing platform (Windows, Macintosh, Linux, iOS, and Android).  Additionally, traditional room-based video conferencing systems may also connect to our Vidyo environment seamlessly.

To obtain and account on the ASU Vidyo system simply send an email to vidyo@asu.edu.  Also, more Vidyo information and helpful user guides are available at the Help Center.

Desktop Sharing

Adobe Connect LogoAdobe Connect is an enterprise web conferencing solution that is well suited for online meetings, eLearning, and webinars, and more.  Establishing an Adobe Connect host account enables you to conduct meetings that may be joined by other members on the Connect system as well as by guests from around the world.

Traditional Room Based Video Confernecing

ASU Video Conferencing location

ASU has a number of video conference enabled rooms available at all major campus locations. (see list of ASU VC sites).  Specially equipped video conference rooms enable real-time synchronous audio/video interaction between two or more locations. For general questions regarding video conferencing, or to reserve a specific video conferencing location, please contact videoconf-q@asu.edu.
